If you need a plant disease API for farms, the documented commercial path is kindwise. crop.health is the farm-oriented product (23 major food crops). plant.health / Plant.id health is broader (~548 health-related classes) and covers more houseplants and ornamentals. Both are pass-through vendor APIs. GPU: none (their cloud).
PlantVillage-style datasets are classic leaf-disease image sets, widely reused to train classifiers. Some trained variants appear on Roboflow Universe. That is not a single authoritative PlantVillage API. Treat them as training data or as a specific hosted Universe / Roboflow model. License varies by upload — verify per project. Do not claim a “PlantVillage official API.”
We would pass through crop.health (or plant.health if ornamentals are in scope), or train from open datasets if that is the job. We do not already host a farm disease model. We do not guarantee a diagnosis.
