AlphaEarth Foundations embeddings on GCS
How it is run today: Published data layer (not weights we run)
The public AlphaEarth path on GCS is the Satellite Embedding V1 COGs, documented in Google’s Earth Engine GCS notes. This is a published embedding layer. It is not a download of training weights, and it is not an inference API for the foundation model.
No GPU is required to serve those COGs. You need GCS read access (or Earth Engine), and you need to accept Google’s dataset terms. Attribution under CC-BY 4.0 is required: “The AlphaEarth Foundations Satellite Embedding dataset is produced by Google and Google DeepMind.”
We can stand up a proxy for customers who already have (or will accept) that access. We do not run AlphaEarth weights. We do not already host this layer.
